View Full Version : Mini-G
I'd like to sell the Mini-G from my 700. Only flown a couple gallons, no crashes what-so-ever, it's in great shape. I'm going flybarless this year, so I won't be needing it.
Includes the original box, manual, metal plate, and one last piece of gyro tape
It's nice and clean and ready for you to mount!
Asking $95
!!SOLD!!

So which FBL unit are you going with? I'm thinking its one that is satellite (receiver) ready.
Yup, Total G
Hopefully it's released someday!

I haven't really looked into the Skookum... I better read up!

I saw a recent demo of the 90 ENV electric with the Total-G. I won't comment on it because I'm hoping something was wrong with his heli or the unit. Looked really good over all tho.
post it in the total-g thread, I'm curious

Hehe I just posted to kid with ya. I did watch one of the video's tho and it did look really good. He did some full collective piro's that I would say drifted since he had to fly the heli back to himself each time. Hard to say why. Maybe it was just wind or the "true" is not fully into the "true piro" technology yet :D
He did very little down low in the video and it looked like any other flybarless heli would fly from watching it. (cept to the vbar guys who can piro inverted on a dandylion head with no drift while doing pitch pumps)
All in fun. Pretty sure the link was on RCHeliResource if you want to watch it.
you kidder, you ;) I guess I'm pretty sure it will perform very well. I'm looking for a system to remove boxes from the heli, and the Mini VBar is a little too much (although I've seriously considered it), and I'm not sold on the Skookum's more gimmicky features (that's just my opinion), so Total G it is :)
Selling the receiver and gyro from my 700 brought the price of the Total G down to the price of a 3G (~$230 without the head).
I'll fly it and give a flight report before I go out and buy my second one.

Hurry up and buy it so you can give some feedback. I want to get something for my Radikal down the road. I was looking at the Axiom 720 for a while, but I have not been following the threads lately.

The novel extra on the 720 is the use of the accelerometers. I believe they are primarily for the self stabilization. There is supposed to be some kind of "bail out" feature that can be activated if you get in trouble. It will right the heli, and bring it to a hover, supposedly from any orientation. Good luck with that though, as I am lucky if I can hit the TH in time.
There is also an expansion port for a GPS and possibly other "add ons". Not sure what benefit the GPS will add, but who know's.
The hardware is the really appealing part to me. From what they are saying it currently barely taps into the potential of the hardware.
I was all for the Total G, and may still go that way depending on the reviews. I just want to cut down on the boxes and clutter and ditch the flybar!

Yeah, I'm not so sold on the idea of bailing out of any orientation. It's an incredibly complicated algorithmic problem, only further complicated by cheap sensors. But it's possible, so we'll see!

Google Earth mapping of flights. I promise it won't be a fly back home type deal hehe.
3G Programming kit is due out soon based on the spy pics. Should be interesting to finally see whats in the box comparitivly.
