As some may know, virgil, my 1993 saturn, passed away last night at the tender age of 16, due to a crappy transmission. Durring your day, please take a moment of silence for this beutiful creature.
What this means to you guys is that i have a set of 4 basically brand new firestone 14 in tires and a working engine FOR SALE.
Make me an offer if you guys want one or both of them, giving the 3rd dimension first dibs before they go onto craigs list.
pm or call me with any questions on them.

Sounds like you need to buy a Plum Crazy Charger that is for sale. It will get about 18 Mpg if you keep your foot out of the 4's.:D

You gave your car a guys name? Ummm.
Sorry to hear that. What are your plans for a future ride? I know a place where you can rent some sweet rims.

I knew only of girls who named their rides. I dated one with a VW Rabbit named "Abner"
And Eric, only 16 years use out of your Saturn? No wonder GM is on the brink of collapse!
My '91 Mazda pickup (I am original owner) now has more rust than original paint left yet it runs like a top. Only major repairs were to replace the fuel tank and radiator (both had leaks).
My wife's '92 Toyota Camry (again original owner) was destined for replacement when we bought the '07 Camry Hybrid. It has NEVER required a major repair so we opted to keep it. And it has only one very small area of rust. Alex seems destined to inherit this car.
Prior to my Mazda, I had a '78 Honda Accord I drove for 13 years and put 225,000 miles on it. Two air-cooled VWs preceded the Honda and that's been it for my 41 years of driving history.
Too bad I can't keep a job like I keep my cars...

i can keep a job descent enough, but my cars seem to go and go..beginning in 2007 upon my 16th birthday, i came across a free car(1995 neon with fart can) that my aunt did not want. In june of 2008, that car broke and i was left with a challenge of getting another car. I came across virgil and knew he was the one, i have had him ever since..well until yesterday..time for a descently new one for now....
how many thousand off mr broken rotor :) (i say mr for a really good deal....)
and my car was called virgil because of its liscence plate
it was vgl
didnt want just to add a few vowels and be lame like that, and i didnt want a stupid name, so i went with virgil, becausse that name is cool

Should have named it Veeger - then you could have made a Star Trek movie out of it...;)
The wife's Camry Hybrid's license is VCR 694 although she doesn't call it Vicker. Easy enough to remember - VCR for that technological invention which likely predates yourself and the Interstate which is just south of us.
One of the best vanity plates I've seen was one from Washington state. Simply said "UMBRA". I couldn't figure the logic out - until I stepped back a bit and looked at the car it was on. Sure enough, it was a Mitsubishi Eclipse. Then it made perfect sense.

The shadow of the Earth can be divided into two distinctive parts: the umbra and penumbra.

Bill Nye (the science guy) did a segment on one of his shows to demonstrate the true scale of our solar system. Even for an astronomically literate viewer, it was pretty mind boggling.
