Why join Third Dimension RC?
No matter what you fly you're a welcome member here. Keep in mind we do not observe the typical flight patterns here. If you'd like to fly a pattern that is fine, however most of our members do not. Expect to see aircraft hovering over the runway and stickbanging heli pilots. That said, if you want to maiden your warbird most members will respect that and give you plenty of room. Communication on the flight-line is key. Please remember this at all times!

Does the club have a field?
Yes! The field is located in Nowthen. We sport 2 grass runways, 10 pit tables and an outhouse.

DIRECTIONS:

North on 5 through Nowthen (The only 4 way stop)
Turn left at CR 65 or 201st.
Take the 2nd right which is CR 82 North
Turn left at CR 82 West.
Take the first field road on the right (heading north) There's a green mailbox on the road here that is 9080. The road takes you to two oak trees which is near the south east corner of our field. We've been parking next to those trees.

When and where are club meetings?

Club meetings are held the first Tuesday every month at 6:30pm. The meeting location can vary depending on weather so check the forums a day prior to be certain. If weather prohibits us from meeting at the field our other location is the Backroads restaurant in Nowthen located a few minutes south of the field. http://www.backroadsnowthen.com/index.html

That all sounds great but can I fly before I buy a membership?

Yes, you may fly ONE TIME* as a guest provided you meet the following requirements:
1. You must be a guest of a 3DRC member. That member MUST be present while you are flying as their guest.
2. A current membership with the AMA is also required for all guests and members. http://www.modelaircraft.org for more info on AMA membership.

*Fun Flys are the only exception to this rule.
